Just days before the release of season 2 of the adapted series, The Last of Us 2 has finally arrived on PC. This was an opportunity for Naughty Dog to also deploy a major update on PS5 for the Remastered version of the game. However, not everything went as planned. Fortunately, the support teams got on the job right away. They are therefore starting to repair the bugs identified at with the help of a new patch now available.
The Last of Us 2 Remastered gives you back what you lost
On April 3rd, Naughty Dog launched version 2.0 of The Last of Us 2 Remastered on console and PC. The free update added new content to the title, particularly for the No Return mode. But the studio also worked on several minor fixes. For example, some textures were reworked on PS5 Pro, while several display and gameplay issues were resolved. Even localization was improved in various languages.
Only, that was without counting on the bugs that the update would generate. Since its deployment, many players have encountered problems. Several improvements to unlock in the story mode of The Last of Us 2 simply disappear. Whether it was weapon holsters or skill points, everything was lost for saves made from April 3rd.
But rest assured! A new PS5 patch has just been launched to come to This particularly disabling in-game issue has been addressed. With version 2.0.1, unlockables will no longer disappear once acquired. If you started your game before the launch of 2.0, then reloading a previous save will allow you to regain access to lost items.
However, not all bugs have been fixed yet. Naughty Dog is well aware of this and is actively working on it. The persistent problems reportedly concern the loss of unlocked characters for the roguelite No Return mode of The Last of Us 2 Remastered. Here too, some players have reportedly lost them since the version change. We therefore expect that this is settled by a few days.
