The Assassin’s Creed Invictus multiplayer game would be expected for this year

The Assassin’s Creed Invictus multiplayer game would be expected for this year

Clearly, Ubisoft intends to continue with projects based on Assassin’s Creed. A few hours ago, we learned that several remasters, remakes and other spin-offs were in preparation, including a remake of the first Assassin’s Creed (2007), a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013), the multiplayer project Codename Invictus and Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, the next major opus expected in several years, not before the end of 2027.

For his part, journalist and insider Tom Henderson confirmed that the remake of Black Flag and the Invictus project should both arrive before the release of Codename Hexe. According to initial rumors, the Black Flag remake was originally scheduled for late 2025. It has reportedly been delayed to 2026, following the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

However, this shouldn’t prevent Ubisoft from releasing two Assassin’s Creed games in 2025. Indeed, according to Tom Henderson, once again, the multiplayer project Invictus could well arrive this year.

The Assassins Creed Universe in 2025 with Codename Invictus?

After the successful launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which attracted over three million players in just one week, Ubisoft doesn't intend to let the franchise rest for long. In addition to plans for remakes, or a potential DLC for Assassin's Creed Mirage, the French publisher intends to offer new content with the release of the multiplayer project Codename Invictus, as early as 2025.

This is in any case what journalist and insider Tom Henderson suggests, who confirmed on Twitter that this multiplayer project could be released later this year.

As a reminder, Assassin's Creed Invictus would be a modest project, offering a multiplayer experience largely inspired by the game Fall Guys. The game would adopt a lighter tone compared to other Assassin's Creed games, allowing players to compete in a series of events such as team clashes, free-for-all game modes, and time trials. For the moment, these are the only rumors circulating around the title.

The game would also be integrated into the Assassin’s Creed Infinity platform which brings together all the games and the lore of the saga.
