Starfield: The announcement that everyone is waiting for is confirmed still with good news

Here's a rumor that's likely to get people talking. Starfield, the science fiction game from Bethesda, could well arrive on PS5 by the end of the year. And not alone. Other surprises could be coming. Nothing is official yet, but the clues are piling up. We'll explain everything. For the PS5 version, we already have had a leak just a week ago.

A project in the pipeline for a while for Starfield

According to journalist Tom Warren (The Verge), Bethesda has already been working on a PS5 version of Starfield for quite a while. It was even supposed to see the light of day earlier, during the game's first DLC. Ultimately, this plan was put aside — without a clear explanation yet.

Today, the timing seems more favorable. Especially since the second major additional content for Starfield is already confirmed for 2025. This would therefore be the perfect opportunity to launch the game on a new platform... and revive interest in this ambitious space RPG.

This isn't the first time that rumors have mentioned a PS5 port. But this time, there are concrete elements. For example, a PS5 logo briefly appeared on the official page of content created for the game Starfield. A detail that didn't go unnoticed. Another clue: an article on the Spanish site Vandal already mentioned Starfield among a list of Xbox titles planned for PS5. Along with it, we also found Killer Instinct and Fable. A bundle of clues that begins to... weigh heavily.

Signs that don't deceive

This kind of move wouldn't have been imaginable just a few years ago. But for some time now, Microsoft seems to be rethinking its approach. Several Xbox games are coming or are about to arrive on other consoles. This is the case with Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, and Pentiment.

The idea is clear: to promote in-house licenses beyond the Xbox ecosystem. A way to make big projects profitable... and expand their audience. In this context, seeing Starfield arrive on PS5 is not absurd. On the contrary, it would be almost logical.

According to current news, Starfield on PS5 could be launched at the same time as the game's second major expansion. Bethesda had already confirmed that this new content would arrive during the game's second year, in 2025. This dual launch would revive interest in the game, while attracting a new wave of players. What if Bethesda took advantage of this to optimize the game on PS5? Better loading times, DualSense support, or even graphical adjustments... anything is possible, even if nothing is confirmed.
