Spider-Man 4 has an official title ... and there is change

This will be one of the cinematic events of summer 2026, where directors and franchises will have to jostle for position at the global box office. A few weeks after the release of Avengers: Doomsday, Peter Parker will return to action in the guise of Tom Holland. The project is due to begin filming soon, once Christopher Nolan's filming of The Odyssey is complete. It was from the set of the epic film by the father of Interstellar and Inception that Tom Holland shared the first information on Spider-Man 4.

We now know the title of the film, which is set for a theatrical release on July 31, 2026 in the United States. Without Jon Watts and as a new chapter opens for the masked vigilante, Spider-Man abandons the common denominator of his previous adventures.

No "Home" for this film directed by Daniel Destin Cretton. The director and the teams want to mark the change of approach with a title that stands out. Spider-Man 4 is called Brand New Day in its original version, there is a good chance that it will be the same in France.

In Jon Watts' latest film, Peter was graduating from high school and looking for colleges to continue his education. We can imagine that these plans were compromised by the annihilation of his personality. The last images of the third film showed him in a tiny apartment, after the death of his Aunt May, listening to police communications to intervene in case of trouble.

We can therefore imagine that this fourth opus shows him dividing his time between his daily life as a masked justice and that of a photographer for the Daily Bugle. Unless Peter Parker joins an internship in a large scientific company as is the case in most comics. Norman Osborn or Otto Octavius?
