Yesterday, we reported that 15 Latin American countries were being targeted for a significant increase in the cost of PS Plus subscriptions. Sony cited the reason: "global market conditions" forcing it to "raise prices to ensure good service quality and the regular addition of quality games." Other countries around the world are now paying the price, and they may not be the last.
The increase in the price of PS Plus is being exported to other countries
PS Plus is preparing to increase its prices in different regions of the world at the next payment deadline for current subscribers, or as of April 16 for new subscribers. Until yesterday, this affected Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Costa Rica, but also countries such as Guatemala, Nicaragua and Ecuador. These have seen an average increase of $10 to $18 depending on the subscription levels.
