Even though Pokemon ZA doesn't yet have a release date, it received a lengthy presentation during the latest Nintendo Direct. The spiritual sequel to Arceus Legends in a more modern world will offer fans new and unique features, and above all, a particularly comprehensive Pokédex, including the introduction of Pokemon that had never made their debut on a Switch game until present.
Really catch them all in Pokemon ZA
As a reminder, Pokemon ZA sets its story in Illumis, a city introduced in versions X and Y of the franchise, released on 3DS in 2013. This therefore offers the Legends series a more urban setting, with nevertheless delimited zones for capturing wild Pokemon. At night, however, it's time for ZA Royale, the equivalent of Battle Royale with a Pokemon twist. The fact that this opus takes place in Illumis is also not insignificant, precisely because of the creatures that we can meet there.
Pokemon ZA will indeed be the opportunity to bring to Nintendo Switch (and most certainly Nintendo Switch 2), pocket monsters that had never been seen in the opus of the last console of Big N. We can also see some of them in the presentation video of the game from the Nintendo Direct. For now, we can count nine Pokemon that will be making their debut on Switch, as follows:
- Ratentif
- Miradar
- Feuillajou
- Feuilloutan
- Flamajou
- Flamoutan
- Flotajou
- Flotoutan
- Couafarel
The Pokemon ZA roster will therefore once again welcome the famous elemental monkeys from X and Y, not seen again for over ten years. While these aren't the most popular creatures in the franchise, at least those who like to have a well-stocked Pokédex will be able to enjoy this next installment coming later this year. Let's also hope that the title will be more pleasing to the eye on Switch 2, the result on its big sister having greatly disappointed players, particularly in terms of artistic direction and quality. rather unattractive graphic from Illumis.
