In fact, Nintendo has opened a page on its website dedicated to specific games. These are the ones that will receive a free update for the Switch 2. Thus, we find Pokemon Scarlet and Purple alongside other important titles, like Mario Odyssey or the latest Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. It is only unclear whether it will be available as soon as the console is released on June 5, 2025. However, it promises an even better gaming experience!
Unlike a « Switch Edition 2" paid, as is the case for Mario Party Jamboree or Breath of the Wild for example, these are minor patches offered to optimize older games for the new console. The exact details are not yet specified for each game. But, overall, this allows you to benefit from a higher frame rate. Let's not forget the support for features specific to the machine. Thanks to this, we can say that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet still have good days ahead of them.
