Nintendo Switch 2: How to follow the launch of the console, live with us live the most awaited announcement of the year

As promised, so kept. Nintendo will finally tell us more about the Switch 2 during a new Nintendo Direct conference on April 2, 2025. Here, we explain how to follow all the manufacturer's announcements.

Nintendo Switch 2: How to follow the launch of the console, live with us live the most awaited announcement of the year

Remember, on January 16th, Nintendo unveiled the Switch 2 to everyone's surprise. Through a too-short video, the manufacturer quickly presented some new features brought to the console. The opportunity for fans and the press to confirm certain elements put forward by countless rumors.

We think for example of the magnetic Joy-Con, the larger screen, the new kickstand on the back, or even the almost complete backward compatibility with the Switch catalog. Unfortunately, we had to be content with this little information. To learn more about the price, technical specifications, release date, or games at launch, Nintendo has invited us to a new Nintendo Direct conference this Tuesday, April 2, 2025. As you can see, the wait is almost over.

How to follow the Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2?

A promise is a promise. Nintendo has just confirmed that the event will take place. More specifically, the conference will take place this Tuesday, April 2, 2025, starting at 3 p.m., French time, on its official website.

Of course, we invite you to follow this long-awaited presentation with us directly in this article. You will of course find a link to the video of the conference (available below), but above all we will put at update the content of the paper in real time. This way, you can see at a glance all of BigN's key announcements about its future console. And if you prefer to watch social media instead, we will also be transcribing the conference on Phonandroid's official X account.

What can we expect from the conference?

As said above high, this conference will above all be the opportunity for Nintendo to deliver a “real” presentation of its machine. Without a shadow of a doubt, the manufacturer should take the opportunity to return to the new features introduced on the Switch 2, such as the famous C button or the Mouse mode of the Joy-Con.

We also hope to have a little more information on the technical sheet of the console, although we should not expect BigN to go into very detailed technical details. Unlike Sony, which has made a habit of broadcasting conferences focused exclusively on technical and technological advances with the PS5 and PS5 Pro, this is not really Nintendo's style.

Barring any unpleasant surprises, we should finally have a release date (or at least a window) and perhaps the price of the console for the American market (in dollars). This should give us a slightly more precise idea of the pricing policy envisaged for the Switch 2. And then of course, who says console says games. By extension, we should also have an overview of the titles planned for launch, like Mario Kart 9, Metroid Prime 4 or possible “next-gen” from Zelda Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom.
