Nintendo: Discover the first games for Switch 2!

It's an understatement to say that Nintendo hasn't rushed to launch the Switch 2. It's rumored that the manufacturer preferred to take its time not only to build up console stocks, but also to refine the first Switch 2-optimized games. We'll see what happens on launch day (June 5) with Mario Kart World. Open world, a plethora of character rosters, new game modes... There will be plenty to keep you busy, alone or with friends.

In total, more than fifty games will be available at the launch of the Switch 2. Added to this will be the compatibility of Switch 1 games, some of which will be optimized for the new console: improved graphics, enhanced performance, and even additional content will be included. But these optimizations will unfortunately not be free; you will have to pay a little something extra if you already own the game.

Nintendo has already released the game. promised «Switch 2 Edition» for Super Mario Party Jamboree, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Kirby and the Forgotten World, Pokémon Legends Z-A, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond… Some titles, such as Metroid Prime, may be displayed in quality mode. or performance, depending on whether one is more sensitive to fidelity graphics or framerate.

Third-party developers will obviously be there with an avalanche of ports: Street Fighter 6, Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, Hades 2, Split Fiction, Borderlands 4, Star Wars Outlaws...

In terms of exclusivity, the Switch 2 will already welcome a highly anticipated Donkey Kong Bananza(release scheduled for July 17) as well as Kirby Air Riders, the next title from Masahiro Sakurai, the father of Kirbyand Smash. It will be available later this year.

Surprise during the Live, FromSoftware (creator d’Elden Ring) revealed his new game, The Duskbloods, which will be released next year. There will be Hyrule Warriors: The Sealed Chronicles in the pipeline, which takes place before Tears of the Kingdom (for this winter).

Finally, Switch Online + add-on pack subscribers will have access to GameCube games, including Zelda: Wind Waker, Soulcalibur II and the excellent F-Zero GX.

Nintendo will be hosting a "Treehouse" on April 3 and 4, a presentation of several Switch 2 games with hands-on sessions. The shows will begin at 4 p.m.
