We didn't see it coming, but a port of Elden Ring to Nintendo Switch 2 was announced during the NDirect on April 2, 2025. This "Tarnished Edition" will not be available at launch, but later this year without further details. And it will be a complete version since in addition to the main adventure, you will be able to discover the Shadow of the World Tree expansion without having to purchase it separately. Meanwhile, the ER spin-off Nightreign is showing up again and it's (very) promising.
Elden Ring Nightreign a l'oeil du tigre de l'acier
Elden Ring Nightreign was one of the surprises from FromSoftware's boss at The Game Awards 2024. If you missed it, it's a multiplayer-focused spin-off, playable for up to three days, although it's possible to enjoy it solo. To stand out from its big brother, this new game adds a dose of battle royale and a pinch of rogue-lite for a renewed experience. But like Elden Ring, Nightreign will have a class system.
If you participated in the free network test, you already had the choice between the Duchess, the Anchorite, the Guardian or the Ranger. A balanced character who has a grappling hook, who is "easy to learn but difficult to master", and who is at the center of the Elden Ring Nightreign collector's edition through a 25 cm tall PureArts statuette.
The cast of Elden Ring Nightreign is expanding today with the presentation of the Ironeye, who acts as an archer. An ideal character for ranged combat and, as you'll see, should appeal to those who like ultra-mobile characters. In addition to moving quickly, the Ironeye can glide while firing a salvo of three arrows, fire an arrow after performing a jump, lean on a wall to rise into the air, or activate a special ability that sends an arrow causing a whirlwind. A perfect attack for inflicting area damage and crowd control. In addition to elemental arrows, the Ironeye can also revive allies from a distance. We leave you with the gameplay clips while we wait for the release of Elden Ring Nightreign scheduled for May 30, 2025 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
