Burger sells nuggets ... at caviar (this is not a joke)

April 1st is the only day of the year when jokes are generally accepted by everyone, even those in bad taste, in honor of the famous April Fool's Day. 24 hours when the majority of the population allows itself the worst puns, sometimes at the cost of its reputation. Even brands play the game by offering completely crazy fake products, which no one believes in anymore.

But Burger King hit hard this year. The fast-food chain with its explosive sense of humor shared its new discovery: caviar nuggets. While customers initially laughed at this strange combination of flavors, they quickly rushed to the stores when they realized it wasn't a hoax.

Absolutely not a joke

If you're going to make jokes all year long, you might as well take advantage of April 1st to surprise while being completely serious. This is the credo of Burger King, which actually sells nuggets and caviar. This marketing operation will last from April 1st to 7th. No one believed them capable of it, and yet. This is yet another stroke of genius from the brand, which stands out from its competitors thanks to its youthful and never serious image.

The menu is offered priced at 19 euros, and includes 7 nuggets and a 10g can of caviar. To achieve this, Burger King has partnered with the Astria brand, and even offers mayonnaise sauce and a small spoon to spread everything neatly. A premium experience that won't be available to everyone.

How to get your hands on it?

Selling caviar comes with a few small drawbacks. In addition to being an extremely limited edition, the menu is not available for delivery and is not offered in all restaurants. You'll have to go to the website or directly to the store to check the availability of the campaign near you. In the meantime, it's a very effective way for customers to try a high-end dish for the first time (or not) at a lower price.

The phenomenon has already taken over the networks for a few hours. The least we can say is that this marketing ploy has surprised more than one person, and that it's already a success for Burger King. It remains to be seen what joke awaits us next year.
