The Oppo K13 is a new low-cost smartphone that will delight those looking for a decent screen, good battery life, and fast charging. For users who want quality If you want a superior photo and better performance, you'll have to look elsewhere.
Oppo has just launched a new smartphone that focuses on value for money: the Oppo K13. It is distinguished by a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen displaying a Full HD+ definition and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The fingerprint reader for biometric authentication is positioned under the panel.
The other major strong point of the smartphone concerns its battery. The Oppo K13 has a battery with an impressive capacity of 7,000 mAh, which should ensure significant autonomy for the mobile. The manufacturer also integrates a fast recharge with a power of up to 80W, which allows the battery to be fully charged in less than an hour.
The Oppo K13 makes concessions on photography and performance
So far, it's been flawless for this price range. But of course, Oppo had to make sacrifices to offer a financially affordable device. And that starts with the choice of a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, a recent SoC from Qualcomm, but which offers performance well below what we can see in the mid- and high-end segments. The brain of the Oppo K13 is far from being a lightning war machine. The 8 GB of RAM are decent ones.
The camera department is the other major aspect that is neglected on this device. We don't expect much from the (small) 50 MP, f/1.9, 27 mm equivalent main sensor. Expectations are even lower when it comes to the second lens, a 2 MP lens dedicated to depth of field, whose presence only serves to indicate that the Oppo K13 has a dual camera sensor. The brand promises AI features to enhance the camera's capabilities, but it's unclear whether the chip's power will be enough to deliver truly relevant results.
Still, for some uses, this smartphone may do the trick if you don't need the best performance or a good camera. The Oppo K13 comes in black and purple. The 128GB storage version sells for the equivalent of €185 in India, while the 256GB version is priced at €205. The device will be available in India on April 25 and will be released internationally a little later. It's unclear if France will be affected.
