The coming months promise to be the ideal time to plan a stay at Europa-Park. The German destination, popular with the French, is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and with it comes some spectacular new features. Attractions, shows, shops... The entire park is donning the colors of this major anniversary to make the 2025 season an unforgettable milestone in its history. If you're planning to go this year or are still hesitating, here are all the festivities that Europa Park has in store for you.
GRAND PRIX EDventure: more than just an attraction
Since March 22, Europa Park visitors can take part in a new adventure located in the Luxembourg district, in place of the rotating Drehtheater theater where the Rulantica promotional attraction has been held since 2018. This building, renamed Gameplay Theater for the occasion, now hosts GRAND PRIX EDventure, an interactive dark ride where 3D projections bring a mini-shooting game to life. It should be noted, however, that this is a "soft opening" (i.e., a test opening period) and that the ride still requires some adjustments following projection and timing issues encountered in recent days. But this family experience is far from being a simple addition to the amusement park.
This is the first element of a major transmedia project. The attraction's wild race is inspired by the animated film SUPER GRAND PRIX, which will be released in French cinemas on October 8, 2025. Europa Park is pushing its own boundaries by transforming its mascots into real stars. Indeed, the feature film will also be accompanied by an official video game, GRAND PRIX Racing Champions, scheduled for this summer. on Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Steam.
New shows
Europa Park's 50th anniversary will also be marked by new shows. From March 22 to August 31, the Europa Park Teatro (located in the Italy zone) will host Big Moments – The Celebration-Show, a 35-minute show retracing the park's major moments in history. For parade fans, new decorated floats and 80 artists in colorful costumes will celebrate the diversity European in Ed’s Parade, from March 15 to September 21, 2025.
Two exclusive days this summer
Dreaming of a day at Europa Park that never ends? Here's your chance. During the summer period, two key dates will allow you to visit the park until midnight and enjoy the night attractions. These will take place on July 12, on the occasion of Europa Park's anniversary date, as well as on August 23, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Europa Park Junior Club.
The year 2026 will not be left out
To follow the 50th anniversary celebrations, the German tourist destination will inaugurate a new themed district next year. This will be inspired by Monaco and will cut into a piece of the French Quarter.
