Swipppitt, the smartphone toaster that replaces the battery in 2 seconds

Swipppitt, the smartphone toaster that replaces the battery in 2 seconds

A smartphone is always running out of juice, whether it's to make an urgent call or finish a level in a game. Of course, you can plug the device into the power supply, but Swippit offers an original solution that combines a case with an external battery and... a toaster.

It smells like burning

The Link case, compatible with the iPhone 14, 15 and 16, contains a battery with a capacity of 3500 mAh (other smartphones will be supported in the future, including Android models). Enough to see you through a few hours. The real "innovation" if you will, is the Hub, a case that actually looks like a toaster!

Just place the smartphone dressed in its case in the slot provided for this purpose, wait 2 seconds, and boom: the empty battery of the case has been replaced by a full battery thanks to a clever internal motorized system.

The Hub contains (and charges) up to 5 batteries, which allows the whole family to enjoy it... provided that everyone has a Link case of course. An application is necessary to check the battery level and manage the authorizations to use the toaster.

The whole thing is reminiscent of equivalent systems in the automotive sector, particularly from the Chinese manufacturer Nio.

For the rest, is the investment really worth it? Because getting a Swippit is not cheap: $570 in total, the Hub costs $450, the case costs $120 (to be multiplied by the number of smartphones in the household), and only for one smartphone.
